Annuals - An annual plant is a plant that completes its life cycle, from germination to the production of seed, within one year, and then dies.

Perennials - Plants that persist for many growing seasons. Generally the top portion of the plant dies back each winter and regrows the following spring.

Tropicals- Tropical plants require good rainfall or a decent irrigation or sprinkler system for watering and a lot of sunshine. These plants typically need fertilizer and heavy mulching.

Hibiscus plants are a gorgeous addition to your home or patio. They are best kept between 60-75*F and love a good sunny spot. They adjust to being outdoors seasonally, but you should bring them in before temperatures get below 40*F. Come in and see which varieties we have in store today!

Here is a zone map, made by the USDA, to reference for your specific zone based off of where you are planting. Use this map and its' key to find your zone. This will give you a temperature range that your plants will be able to survive in, as well as an idea of type of plants you can grow in your zone. Most flowers, plants and seeds will all include a zone that they can withstand the temperatures in. This is a great resource for any experience level, from novice to expert gardener.
